Modern automobiles have become a convergence zone for an array of technologies—mobile phone integration (Bluetooth®), navigation systems, voice activation systems, streaming audio and video, adaptive level and equalization controls—where audio plays an integral role. The combination of these sophisticated systems and enhanced cabin acoustics creates a complex environment for electro-acoustic, analog and digital audio testing.

To help engineers that are new to automotive, new to audio or new to automotive audio, Audio Precision is pleased to offer a one-day seminar on audio measurement in automotive applications. The seminar will cover a variety of technology and application testing issues commonly encountered in modern automotive design and manufacturing, including examples and demonstrations with AP audio test solutions. Topics addressed are:

  • Evolution of automotive audio
  • Signal chain and testing challenges
  • Testing automotive power amplifiers (analog and digital)
  • Testing head units without analog inputs
  • Bluetooth issues in automotive
  • Automotive audio networks (A2B)
  • Acoustic measurements – loudspeakers, microphones, PDM mics, cabin tuning
  • Voice quality and perceptual audio testing
