United Electric Industries or UEIDAQ is a leader in the PC/Ethernet data acquisition and control, Data Logger/Recorder and Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) and Modbus TCP markets. Their proprietary “Cube” form factor provides a compact, rugged platform, ideal for applications many industries where a small & lightweight but powerful system is required.
UEI supports Windows, Vista, Linux and Real-time operating systems and seamless supports of all major application packages including LabVIEW, MATLAB and DASYLab. This makes them suitable to use in the automotive, aerospace, petroleum/refining, simulation, semiconductor manufacturing, medical, HVAC, and power generation fields – and more.


The UEINet chassis provides ultra-compact Ethernet based I/O module suitable for a wide variety of distributed data acquisition, control and SCADA applications. Based on UEI’s popular PowerDNA® Cube architecture, the chassis and its series are designed for applications requiring distributed I/O with a very small footprint.
The UEINet chassis is 2.7”” x 4.1” x 4” wide and allows you to configure one or more cubes to match the specific I/O requirements of your application.
The “standard” UEINet is designed to run as a slave I/O unit controlled directly by a host PC. The UEINet PAC UPG option allows the unit to run as a stand-alone device running an application you write in either Linux or VxWorks operating systems. Simulink users can use the UEINet SIM UPG option to enable the ability to build applications in Simulink. Finally, there the UEINet Mod UPG allows the UEINet to run as a MODBUS TCP node and can be further modified to suit a wide variety of industrial, aerospace and laboratory data acquisition and control applications.


Similar to the UEINet, UEIModbus™ are compact, rugged, Ethernet based data acquisition and control interface that communicates with a host computer or PLC. The UEIModbus 1200R provides 12 I/O boards for larger data acquisition and a half-3U rack size. Its flexibility allows you to configure one or more cubes or RACKs to match the specific I/O requirements of your application.
The UEIModbus is ideally suited for a wide variety of industrial monitoring and control applications.
