Space payloads are tested on the ground to ensure they are mission ready after launch. Conventional vibration testing using response accelerometers and hard mounting to a shaker can overtest the payload resulting in damage or destruction of expensive technolological or scientific equipment.

That is why nowadays FLVT (Force Limited Vibration Testing) is often perfomed on Space payloads. By automatically notching the acceleration at a test item's resonances, by measuring and limiting the reaction foice between the test item and te shaker table, overtesting risks and costly damanges can be eliminated with FLVT.

Why use FLVT and what to consider?

m+p international and Kristler have prepared a new webinar on FLVT, to discuss the most important points to be considered in practice and give an overview as well as tips and tricks for successful testing procedures. They will introduce you to different approaches, present necessary equipment needed for FLVT and give technological insights on requirements and succesful projects.
