About World Metrology Day
WMD is an annual celebration of the signature of the Metre Convention on 20 May 1875. The theme for World Metrology Day 2023 is “Measurements Supporting the Global Food System”. For this year’s World Metrology Day celebration, NMC and HSA have organised an exciting in-person conference, featuring a series of exciting and informative talks by leading metrology experts. They will share international initiatives how measurements can play a part in our global food system to ensure a safe and sustainable food supply, in the context of climate change and the world’s population having reached 8 billion in 2022.
In the afternoon, leading industry experts will share their measurement solutions, followed by the introduction of new measurement solutions, technologies and services by NMC as well as other exciting developments.
