The USP probe is a unique 3D acoustic vector sensor which, like other PU sound intensity probes, is less influenced by background noise and reflections than traditional microphone-based intensity probes, conferring the ability to measure in-situ under realistic conditions. In a broader sense, this vector sensor allows you to visualize the sound field in three-dimensional space. As the only acoustic probe that can physically measure all the fundamental quantities of a sound field (sound pressure and 3D acoustic particle velocity), any device, machine, or environment, can be characterized and quantified accurately irrespective of the testing conditions for the broad frequency range from 20 Hz to 10000 Hz.
